Cyber Security Expert (SOC Analyst L2)
Work the alerts that matter, on a floor where escalation means a person, not a queue.
What you will do
- Triage, investigate and escalate alerts across customer estates on a 24/7 rota
- Write and tune detections — a detection-engineering role, not dashboard-watching
- Lead containment during live incidents and write the situation reports
- Hunt on a fixed cadence and publish what you find internally
- Feed real incidents back into the curriculum with the training team
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in a SOC, incident response or detection-engineering role
- Fluent with at least one SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel or QRadar) and able to write queries by hand
- Scripting in Python or PowerShell for enrichment and automation
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights
