Live training — online, 1-on-1 and classroom
"Batch start" means the first scheduled session of your batch, and days are counted to that date.
| When you cancel | What you get back |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more before the batch starts | 100% of the course fee |
| 7–13 days before | 50% of the course fee, or a 100% credit / free transfer to another batch |
| Less than 7 days before, or after the batch has started | No refund. One free transfer to a later batch, used within 6 months |
A credit or transfer can be used for the same course or put towards a different one of equal or higher price, within 6 months. Instead of cancelling, you may also send a colleague in your place at no charge — just tell us their name before the batch starts.
Exam vouchers
A voucher is the certification body's product. We buy it from the body on your behalf, and the body does not give us a refund once a voucher has been issued.
- Voucher not yet bought by us: fully refundable.
- Voucher already issued: non-refundable and not transferable to another person. Rescheduling your exam date is done with the certification body under its own rules and fees.
- If a voucher we sold you turns out to be invalid, we replace it or refund it in full.
Self-paced courses, recordings and lab access
- Self-paced courses and recordings: refundable in full within 7 days of purchase if you have opened less than 10% of the content. After that, not refundable.
- Hosted lab and vendor-lab access: refundable in full until the access window starts. Once access has started, not refundable. If a lab we sold you is unavailable for a significant part of your window because of a fault on our side, we extend the window or refund the unused portion.
- Free labs, the free CTF and free workshops cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
When we cancel or change a batch
If we cancel a batch, move its start date, or can no longer deliver it in the format you booked, you choose one of:
- a full refund of the course fee, or
- a place on another batch of the same course, or a different course of equal value.
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid to third parties, so we recommend refundable bookings for classroom batches.
Corporate, bulk and government bookings
Cancellation terms for corporate cohorts, bulk seat purchases and tenders are set out in the quote or purchase order you accept. Where the quote says nothing, this policy applies to each seat.
Consulting, managed services and software
Refunds and cancellation for consulting engagements, managed SIEM and detection services, product licences and custom software are governed by the signed agreement or statement of work for that engagement, not by this page.
How to ask for a refund
Email info@hackysecurity.com with the subject "Refund request", your booking or invoice reference, and the course and batch date. You can also call +91-8091900310.
We confirm whether the refund is approved within five working days. Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method within 10 working days. Your bank or card provider may take a few more days to show it. Where tax such as GST or VAT was charged, the refund includes it in proportion.
Your statutory rights
This policy is in addition to your rights under consumer law — including India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and, for UK consumers, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. It does not take any of them away. If you are a UK consumer buying online, you also have a 14-day right to cancel, which ends early once a course or digital content starts with your agreement.
